The ECLIPSE M suppressor is the result of 6 years of development in collaboration with the Norwegian Armed Forces and the Norwegian Defence Research Establishment (FFI). The primary objective of the project has been to construct a suppressor with the lowest possible signature, with a particular emphasis on flash reduction.
The suppressor has primarily been tested with the 7.62x51 caliber using the HK417 weapon system.
Based on FFI’s tests, the Eclipse M was selected as the suppressor for the Norwegian Armed Forces. It is now a standard product for the Norwegian Armed Forces and is included in the NATO database with the following NSN number:
NSN: 1005-25-163-2857

Soldiers have a significant need to remain concealed during missions. The flash from the weapon system during firing acts as a marker that reveals the soldier’s position to the enemy. Minimizing this as much as possible is crucial for ensuring the soldier’s safety and enhancing the likelihood of mission success.
The first shot consistently produces a larger flash compared to the subsequent shots, which is a significant problem with most suppressor models available on the market.
With the ECLIPSE M - Suppressor, this issue is addressed by providing close to zero flash signature on the first shot and no visible flash on subsequent shots. This has been documented through photon measurements by FFI, following the STANREC 4785 test procedures.
